Alternative approaches to communal food provision
Workshop and Free-of-Charge Community Meal
At
422 Arts in Manchester we discussed historical and contemporary models that use food to build community and foster wellbeing, rather than merely to make a profit. With Isaac Tendler and Bevan Richardson from
Sheffield Food Hall we imagined what a different, more just, sustainable and healthy food future might look like. The workshop was followed by a beautiful vegan kurdish meal cooked by
Heart & Parcel.
The 422 arts programme is supported by Arts Council England.
