Food and alternative knowledge production
– Workshops & Free-of-Charge Community Meals -
With the
House of Annetta we organised a weekend of meals and food justice discussions. We invited
Co-operationtown and
Blueprint Architects to speak about alternative and community knowledge production around food, followed by a free-of-charge community meal made from surplus food by the
NFSL community cooks.
The day after Systems RIP organised a free breakfast for sharing ideas about food forests, community gardening, and how to envision a different food system. This was followed by a mapping walk through Brick Lane and Spitalfields, to understand the neighbourhoods through the lens of food waste.
This public programme is supported by UCL East community engagement funding.
